10:30 this is one of the reasons TEIN and Celeste feel better to me than other platformers with individual, disjointed levels you choose from a menu. They're also brilliantly designed with perfect controls and awesome music of course :D

RITE deserves a placement on here, it's so incredibly designed. Sunblaze is a more recent one that learns from Celeste. Dojoran is also very, very fun.

Of all the bunch Octahedron is by far the most creative & full of always changing game mechanics, a really underrated gem. It could use more varied backgrounds and there's almost no bosses... but the one at the end is really cool and partly makes up for it.

N++ is an amazing game. The only thing that tortures me is when you try to get all the gold: some levels are extremely hard if you want all the gold. So the becomes a real nightmare and you can get stuck in a level for weeks, just because the gold.

Btw, amazing list, I love this genre and all these games are just gold.

Octahedron is pretty underrated. Love the soundtrack to the game but Chipzel always does awesome music.

A bit surprised that Super Magbot didn't make it into the list considering how unique it is.

My favourite precision platformer is Dustforce. Along with N++, it's the one of the only two titles (to my knowledge), that has tons of players sink literal thousands of hours in with an infinitely high skill cap.

My first one of these I played was N+ on the psp. I spent many a night pulling my hair out with that game. I would’ve never of thought to look at a game like Electronic super joy. I would’ve easily seen the thumbnail art and wrote it off as a cheap game. I checked it out and it seems like a real fun one. And you were right the soundtracks to both 1 and 2 are great. I added them to my Spotify list. A precision platformer I never see getting any love is Splasher. It’s so good. If there is any PlayStation players Electronic Super Joy 2, Slime-San and Splasher are all on sale right now for super cheap. Great video clemmy. I always look forward to these. Hope all is well with yourself and the little one.

I know if I played any of these games, I would cry. I like challenging games, but the small parts of precision platforming in games like Hollow Knight and Blasphemous are enough. An entire game based on those parts!? No way! I'm a masochistic but not a damn masochistic!
