The third one, the fog.
It's actually surreal hearing that described by someone else.
After all these years of dealing with that, I almost started to feel like I was gaslighting myself or something.

Decluttering my environment at home has really helped reduce burn out.

I have ADD and have experienced everything you spoke of. It's debilitating and affects my self esteem. I have been tackling home projects by focusing on one simple thing for a limited time, allowing breaks. Yard projects, finishing one thing before starting another, even if it takes weeks or months depending on weather. It is helping. Still working on finding a good fit for employment. Easily overwhelmed by too much stimulation and too many people.

This is so relatable, especially in my experiences. I have ADD and depression, and when I don't do certain things correctly or forget what I'm supposed to do or certain memories, i go REALLY hard on myself, and it's just so exhausting. I also forget things sometimes when my brain forgets fundamental things.

Dude the combo of ADHD Burnout and Depression seriously isn't fun. My family don't seem to understand that I'm not being lazy and or selfish I literally don't have motivation to do anything its why my bedroom looks like a bombsite and why the dishes constantly need washing. I just wish they would understand

I’m 57 yrs old and FINALLY officially diagnosed with ADHD 5 yrs ago. Adderal helps some but being female, menopausal and ADHD holy crap some times the mood swings and depression feels too much to take any longer. Not to mention a husband who even after 30 yrs has very little patience for what I go through. Some days it’s all I can do to get out of bed 30mins before he gets home and pretend it’s been a good day! Glad there’s a name for what I experience just wish there was a cure too!!

As an autistic adult, it's similar for me. I have autistic burnout and it is frustrating at times. It is said that ADHD and autism are similar.

Trying not to quit my job right now as a overworked manager of a theater with ADHD. I don't do anything at home or anywhere because work takes all my processing power. Burnout is so real and its exhausting.

Like a month ago, I had a burnout. I couldn't stop crying, and I couldn't get up and move all because of school and homework. I've been telling my parents how hard it was getting, again they didn't let me take a break. My parents took me to a behavioral center when I couldn't calm down. Eventually, it was late, and the doctors decided I didn't have to stay in the patient. The next morning I had to go to school.
This is just a reminder to parents, if you kid tells your their more than tired, do something to help them.
