Very helpful. My old switch has only two wires. Both are black. The new switch has Three wires. Two are black and one is green. Not sure where the Green one should go. Can I leave it there with electric tape on, but not connecting to any other wire from the wall? Thanks.

Can you take the plastic rotary knob off and replace it with a brass rotary knob?
