Very good instructions. In a hallway for beds and bath. Used on one switch on a one switch in a 3 rocker switch/3 light system. Did not have to do anything with the other 2 rocker switches. Makes a great solution as a hallway night light system.

Please tell me about the - and + adjustment knob. I have installed two of these and cannot get any control at the slider. I have Off and On working perfectly, but the slider isn't making any difference on dimming the lights. Any chance of you actually covering a complete installation of this DIMMER switch?

What should I do if I have an extra red wire that was connected to my existing switch??? My Lutron dimmer only has 3 connector screws.

Sort of a helpful video but another way to figure out the load or the hot if you've already removed your switched without tagging, the wire is to separate the wires. Trim them back while the power is off. Turn the power back on. Use a multimeter and find which one has 120 to volts coming to it. Tag that wire

I have 3 black wires coming into my current switch and an unused bare copper wire, and a an unused white wire. How am I supposed to know which wires are negative and positive and which ones to use when all 3 are black?

Please put up a video explaining the same installs but with a switch leg, not one wire running all the way through the switch junction box and on to the fixture. If I figure it out first I’ll edit this comment.

the problem with both of your "how to" videos on this subject is that you don't show where the wires land on the switch. you show lead wires hanging out but its hard to tell which screws those leads are under.

I've got a black and a white wire coming out of wall. This switch only has a red and a black wire and does not help me at all... does not explain where my white wire goes...

Note, very important: When finished, make sure the grooves in the screw heads (for flat head screwdriver) are vertical, not horizontal. How do I know this? Because 24 years ago when my house was built the electrician did this at every switch and plug in my house. I have faithfully followed this example whenever changing a switch or plug and have never had a problem. So there.

Cannot fit 12 gauge wire around screw. Simply not enough room around the screw to fit the looped wire. Worst part of wiring a complete room.

I guess this is no neutral LED dimmer.

Jesus Christ... every example completely avoids the reality of what's in the wall. 3 wires coming out 1. BLACK, 2. WHITE, 3. GROUND. The ground is a no brainer, but does the white wire connect to the RED wired from the switch, or the BLACK Wire???? Which, you would THINK - black to black.... but no, let's post a video to help "do-it-yourself" people out and completely sidestep the obvious issue. By the way, there isn't two white wires tied together coming out of my wall. Can someone (please) tell me in the example above, what the white wire should connect to?

This doesn’t tell you what to do if there is a red power wire and two black wires. You could easily mix up the two black wires.

Which wire is load and which one is hot source?!?!?! These instructions are essentially useless.

Horrible explanation didn’t use correct words like hot, neutral, ground, line, load or 3way screw? Never heard of a common wire maybe she meant hot wire??Not all your switches have colored wires and the screws are in different locations from video. More explanation on what is actually being done through the wires.
