9:15 It's not recommended to put two wires on one switch screw. Doing so can lead to several issues, including poor connections, potential overheating, and safety hazards. Each wire should have its own screw terminal on the switch to ensure a secure and safe connection. If you need to connect multiple wires to a switch, you should consider using a pigtail and wire connectors (wire nuts or Wago connectors).

For a single pole installation, the black wire (common) should be connected to the copper screw. The two red wires (travelers) should be joined using wire connectors together with a pigtail wire (14 or 12 gauge wire depending on the circuit breaker amps). Then, the other end of the pigtail is connected to the brass screw located across from the copper screw.
