Crochet Easy Shell Border for a Blanket, Scarf, and Shawl

Показать описание
Ever wonder how to crochet an easy border for a blanket, scarf, and shawl?
In this video I'll show how to crochet a simple shell stitch border edging. This pattern consists of single crochet and double crochet stitches made in shells. It's quick to make and easy to remember.
The stitch multiple from one corner to another corner is 4+1. What this means is the number of stitches across the edge from corner to corner should be a multiple of 4, like 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 40, 400, etc. And then add one more to get the total stitch count. Blankets rarely ever get the stitch count perfectly at first, so a single crochet border around the entire blanket helps get the correct number. Even if it still doesn't work out, this pattern is very forgiving. Just skip a stitch here and there to get the numbers correct.
I'm using a size G 4 mm crochet hook for my sample and worsted weight 100% acrylic yarn. Any other size yarn and hooks can be used as well.
Any questions, feel free to ask. And please enjoy this video! Donna Wolfe from Naztazia
