One of the very first edgings or borders I learned in crochet was the simple Scalloped Edging, or Shell Stitch Border. It's easy, feminine, and adds just the right touch!

I make blankets every so often, and I come back to this video each time to remind myself how to do the scalloped edges. It's so easy to understand and follow, and it jogs my memory each time. Thank you for showing us! ❤

Thank you for this tutorial, I'm a beginner and found it very helpful, not too quick which a LOT of others are, makes learning so much easier and enjoyable. 😊

Thank you very much. I was just making a Tissue Box cover & I wanted to finish with scallop edges. I came across your video which was very helpful. Also your manicure is very lovely. So many times bloggers have chipped manicure which is very distracting 🤓

Thank you very much. Needed to know how to do this stitch. You did a wonderful job of showing how .

I like that you use thick yarn so it is easier to see the stitches.

I love this tut. You skipped the b.s, and went for the crochet, love this, and really easy to follow ❤️

I was a little intimidated attempting this border for the first time but you made it clear as can be. Thanks so much! 🙂

Thank you! I’m in my 50’s and until now my brain just wouldn’t let me accept anything other than a basic crochet stitch, and definitely not the names of different stitches. Now it seems much easier.
I think the reason I’m able to learn easier now is because I don’t have kids or work to distract me.

I'm scared to do this after I finish my first blanket. So far my blanket is looking cute. This tutorial is the only one that makes absolute sense to me so thank you thank you thank you. Everything from visual to the explanation was perfect

One of the best tutorials I’ve seen. I’ve been doing crochet since I was 11, I’m 24 now and never really was interested in borders until now. Perfectly explained and straight to the point!

Thank you so much for using thicker yarn in light colors where we can actually see what you are doing.  Some other vids use dark yarn and we can't see where the hook goes, etc.

Holding it like a pencil looks like it makes way more difficult
