Using iZotope Stutter Edit in Logic Pro X - An Overview

You don't actually have to render your MIDI to audio files. Just route the output of the instrument track you want to affect to 'No Output', then select that track as the side chain source in Stutter Edit.

I can't believe this is still the only way to do this 8 years later! I'm really liking a lot about Logic but in Reason it's so easy. Put the effect in an insert slot, make a note track for it, play the notes. I find it a little convoluted to have a muted audio track and then hear that audio through the sidechain of an instrument. There haaaas to be another way!

It not appear in the instrument cell (Midi controlled Fx) to me!!! It appear just if I select it from Audio FX. I installed again...Where do I fail?

How did you render that MIDI file as audio? Sounds like you said Control+B, but that doesn't work on my shortcuts and doing a google search yields that you need to go to File > Export > Export as Audio File, and then a pop up screen comes up to name…etc… I like your shortcut. Thanks!

stutter edit doesn't recognize my audio track when i open it up with a new instrument track. side chain doesn't have the option for my the track I'm trying to use. in your video i see that when you make an audio track the icon is a green bar with a wavelength, i get a keyboard with a stand. what (if anything) am i doing wrong?
