this only rides pre-placed rails right? Why do you need the drill that would be at head-height on the minecart? presumably you mined out a 2x1 to be able to place your rails the contraption will ride so there'd only be a block it can contact at end-of-track no? or is there a way for it to lay its own rails that im missing?

this only works on a tunnel that is already dug

these storage things aren't transferring items at all. they are staying in the barrels.
