I was between the ages of 14 & 16 when Peri was on Doctor Who. She'll always have a special place in my memory. The producers had decided to change the show way more into a show for kids rather than a general sci-fi horror, with bad guys like "The Candyman" - nothing to do with the later horror movie franchise, but a kind of demonic Bertie Basset that wanted to encase people in boiled sugar. Kinda ridiculous. Peri though had that kinda damsel in distress look about her from old 1940s movies. She kept it interesting when the rest of the show was jumping sharks.
