David last week on my Facebook Page, I showed returning forgers coming back to the location they know, yet there was no hive. So they just looked like a small swarm on the stand.
Then I put a nuc box in the place of the old one and put a frame of honey and open brood. And they marched right in.
Have a great weekend. I had to move my bees from flooding, now worried about levee breaks.

based on the amount of bees and how they were congregating on the end of the blue cord/wire. i thought there was gonna be an old fashioned plastic flyswatter under all those bees, the small queen cage was a surprise!

Interesting that I saw this today. I had two swarm traps this morning that I relocated. Each trap had foragers in it. About a softball sized ball. I combined both of them with a queen right bunch from a two frame nuc. They are working like crazy this evening.

Great videos David, thanks ! I'd like to know how you get that many nucs ready to sell at the same time, that are all in a similar stage of development ? In 3-4 weeks a nuc can be boiling over with bees so my question is in preparation for the sale date, arent you constantly having to monitor each one in the apiary swapping frames out etc until it's time to put together the nucs your selling ? You have dozens and dozens. How do you keep track of each one and where do you find that much time ? Reminds me of the "Wac-A-Mole" game.

I ordered 2 queens earlier this week and a Netflix video the same day and got the Queens first. I've installed them in 2 nuks. How long should it take to free her and should I destroy any queen cells they have started?

ok Dave, heres a good one: how do you save your bees from abscounding when there is a massive hive center (puppy mill for bees) that is within miles of your little hives? (maybe 600 hives) No one keeps bees here because the Borg steals them eventually.

nice and clear there we have very smoky air hear 3 days go the apples and cherries trees were buzzing with bee's the think smoke have the cooped up did feed them that are in the shop walls and ceiling here the build in buzzing now the hives I have out they are out of the hives too did put sugar water out for them too if they do not go that far lease they have something near to get to, the to porcupines does not like the smoke too pincushion girlfriend has moved in with him i am happy she did I was lot of work to take him to her and leave them to have a date the pinecone does not move that fast on a good day the fence is now up to keep the pine cone out of the fruit trees and the skunks too and the friend the deers should get back to the yard work and cut the grass before the bee's fly again
