Most dermatologists recommend Zinc oxide for dark skin as its a mineral (physical barrier) sunscreen, yes it causes white cast but decreases the chance of hyperpigmentation “chemical sunscreen” may cause .

I understand that white cast is a huge drawback but mineral sunscreens are better for dark sin tonned people !! Especially if you have melasma
