The chemical sunscreen made the banana brown because it turned the UV rays into heat. The mineral sunscreen reflects the UV rays instead of absorbing and degrading the energy of them. Also they may have more alcohol as a preservative that is oxidizing the banana.

Edit: hey I just want to add that I watched dr.dray's latest video and the science shows that both mineral and chemical sunscreens absorb UV rays to reduce the impact on the skin. I think the brown spot may have been caused by the alcohol in the chemical sunscreen or she was just bruising the heck out of that banana.

Actually this test is not logical ma'am. Testing sunscreen on something which is identical to human skin may serve the purpose. Also the chemical filters in the chemical sunscreen may have some reaction with the banana's skin.
