Try rubbing the sunscreen in between your palms for a minute or so. I learn this trick on an episode of Life Kit from NPR news.
I have dark skin and I also have coworkers with dark skin and they told me that it’s undetectable on my face so I think there’s definitely a trick to it. I tried this trick with a sunscreen from Trader Joe’s as well as the Seravee mineral sunscreen SPF 50. You can use the same trick with the spray as well.

I use “H & B” (Holland & Barrett) 100% mineral sunscreen. First ingredient is zinc oxide and also contains titanium oxide. I’m 72 years old and must see a dermatologist twice a year to treat AK and to deal with a couple other type of abnormal skin cell formations (including melanoma). My uncle died from melanoma.
I have very white skin without adding the H&B sunscreen. Making my skin whiter with adding the H&B sunscreen doesn’t bother me. 

It does seem to bother some other people. I try to explain to them that I need maximum protection from the Sun’s harmful rays. I always wear hat, long sleeve shirts and long pants, socks (even with slippers) and gloves when in the out of doors (even in the heat of summer and while in Hawaii).

Meanwhile I’ll continue to endure the comments, suggestions and jokes from others who don’t have a clue what I’m dealing with.

As a dark skinned person this was so helpful! I had already decided to use chemical sunscreen but this has me reconsidering. My Cetaphil sunscreen was such a disappointed. Will still try La Roche-Posay though

I’m Indian and it’s always sunny here! I love mineral sunscreens and I’m currently using Rovectin mineral sunscreen. It’s the best one I’ve tried so far.

Yes Dr., white cast did reduced as time goes by... But Im a bit of heavy sweaty, it then came back once I starting even abit sweat! 😭 Must time to time check on it avoid embarrass! So Cham!!

You can mix a tinted sunscreen or regular makeup with a white sunscreen to give you a lighter tint. I do this with Cerave tinted and white cerave face. I put a blob of each on the back of my hand and blend, then apply to my face.

Alternating between my SA mineral sunscreen called Lelive all shades SPF 30 broad spectrum moisturize (it's tinted)and cosrx aloe suncreams SPF 50... I'm getting Axis-y physical sunscreen now that you are teaching me how to combat the white cast

I use the korean SOME BY MI cica mineral sunscreen. After trying a bunch of sunscreens, I think this is a good choice. Doesn't leave that much amount of whitecast and soothes your skin.

Main problem happen in raniy season specially in north india hot and humid weather.. whatever sunscreen I use it gives white cast and make my face sweaty 😑 exaggerate my texture as well

thank you! I am pale as hell but even I had a noticeable white cast after applying my new sunscreen (could be bc I squeezed out too much, it was more runny than expected haha) and I was embarrassed. People are already commenting on how pale, I don't need my sunscreen to make it worse.

Some By Mi Tone up Mineral. Senka N. Rohto Sunplay Super Cool. I had use a lots of them.
You should clean your face first. Moisturizing with lotion/serum/cream or whatever make your skin moist. Then apply layers of Sunscreen.
