Awesome video mate. Id got 2 annoying chips on the front wing, sorry fender to you! on my silver 2017 mustang and after watching this and growing some balls to do it they are now totally gone. The trouble is my mates now want me to do their cars too. Thanks again for a great video.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have a Mercedes E class, its a lovely car but the hood was full of chips and the whole paintwork on the car was rough as hell. I plucked up some courage and tackled the chips. The areas came up like new, so i went and bought the same pads and compound polish etc you have, plucked up more courage and wet sanded the whole car. I got about a third in and wondered if i'm doing the right thing, so i re watched your vids...a few times, and carried on. The finished car looks amazing, like new. i'm gobsmacked. I wish i could make a donation but i'm so broke at the moment (hence doing it all myself). Thank you.

This gentleman reminds me my old fashioned teachers who thought me 60 or so years ago in my birth country Hungary how to use tools like metal lathe, drill press, metal sawing machines, milling machines and other power tools. They were no nonsense guys, always clearly pointing out where I needed improvement, never pussyfooting so they would hurt my feelings. They demanded full attention but they also praised me. In order to get their recognition I really had to put myself out and do what I was supposed to do and do it consistently. By now they are watching me write this post from the other side. I am forever grateful to them because they made me who I am.

I commend a person that admits his mistakes(instead of hiding them for the camera).Very trustworthy

I've been paint correcting for over 20 years, I do videos as well. And I let me just say, hands down, this is the best video for this out here. VERY well done, sir. Thank you for a great video.

I’ve been watching clip after clip on chip repair and this has to be the best no nonsense, to the point video I’ve seen so far.
Thank you

Can't tell you how much your videos help me restore the original paint on my black 87 Grand National! Paint chips, scratches, dents and dull paint to a near flawless showroom car. You guys rate a 10 and I could be prouder of how it turned out. Many thanks guys!

The care he takes with his instructions is remarkable. Why he doesn’t have more subs, I’ll never know.
Thanks for all you do!

Excelente use of a rotary polisher. So many young and or inexperienced people are afraid to use one. But you have shown how to do it ‼️
Thanks 👍✌️☮️

So many YouTube videos ramble on and on with this subject, don't show closeups, don't show before and after shots, and are generally confusing. All made by big companies and it's a joke. You actually put together a video on a realistic budget without any bs using a method that actually works and doesn't require me to buy a $200 machine. Thank you.

It almost seems to good to be true when you see other YT "professionals" make it into an overcomplicated science project and not getting half the results you do. I'm gonna try your method as soon as weather permits. Great video!

I REALLY appreciate how much effort you put into keeping the videos short. But I have to say, that this is my favorite video you've made despite the length. I've watched this video 3x, and still find I pick up new information. Thank you again! One thing I would love which I'm not sure you've done, is explain some of the reasons for knowing when to use the foam vs. the wool pads.

2 years later...thanks for the info. I recently found your content and appreciate it a lot. I also like that you dont use fancy commercial tools and something that I can do at home. Much appreciated!

Best paint chip fix video EVER!
Thought I was gonna hate this video, but your no nonsense approach is terrific. Can't wait to attempt this again on my truck! Cheers!

What I really appreciate with your video is you take your time to describe both verbally and with the camera all the points needed for the job in a thorough manner. And the possible pitfalls. The whys and where for, a well covered. This impresses me a lot. And yes it helps a lot to take the fear away from taking on a job for your self. Very well done and thank you. Cheers

From my experience doing this I learned 3000 grit will take a while so you need to have patience like the man says, 2000 grit is much faster but be careful not to sand too hard and no a regular sponge may not work since it deforms when soaped up and isn't an even flat surface which you need, also be careful with the lacquer thinner not to put too much with your q-tip, if you put a bit too much it will form a white circle around the edge of the chip and you'll have to sand that off as well, also make sure the blob of paint is tacky even on a flat surface, having it too runny will not allow it to form enough of a bump to fill the hole and it will spread out and you will just have to do it again if it doesn't fill the hole. Also get a good buffer, you cannot repeat cannot cheap out on it, or heaven forbid use a drill buffer it's a nightmare if you do. I can only reiterate what is said in this video and the previous is a must and accurate. Highly recommend a dremmel with some diamond sand points for rust spots (the cheap knock off diamond head sanders from china where really good for this surprisingly), super fast and accurate to remove corrosion, spot sanding by hand took forever since there where so many stone chips rusted, the portable dremel made the job easy.
