Frustrated with acrylic pour fails? Here's how to fix it!

As an acrylic pour artist learning from other pouring artist online I find myself overwhelmed by all the different paint pouring techniques. Most beginners give up pouring because they don't stick to a single technique and master it before moving on to another. This advice will help remedy constant acrylic pour fails.

This waffling back and forth between fluid art technique stunts the growth of acrylic pour artists. My recommendation is to master the straight pour acrylic pouring technique.

Mastering the straight pour will provide you with the proper baseline of understating of paint consistencies, color theory, paint stacking, and composition. This learning carries over in to all other acrylic pouring techniques.

You're right.
When I first started painting, in November of 2020, I didn't know how to subscribe - I never bothered with YouTube. I'd look up an artist. I was watching Tammy Anderson Art, Mixed Media Girl, Olga Soby, and Molly's Artistry older videos - all doing straight pours. I should have started there instead of jumping on everything that intrigued me.
Even though I'm Advanced in MS Word, I've decided to actually take tutorials starting from the very beginning. I think I need to do that with painting!
