I just picked up a 2024 Ram 1500 Limited Night Edition a couple weeks ago and am loving it so far. I’ve watched several of your videos on the Rams which helped me make my decision.

I purchased my 2024 Limited in January and I’m still getting use to it. I upgraded from a 2016 Limited and the new truck is a new driving experience. I did get mine with the level one package; auto parking, 19 speakers, additional 5 gallon fuel tank, and heads up display. My 2016 had the 3.92 gears and the 2024 had the 3.21. Averaged 19.8 miles per gallon on a 200 mile trip. I haven’t hit 2, 800 miles yet. I am very pleased with this truck so far. I was actually content with the 2016 but it was time for something new.

By far one of the best in-depth reviews!

I just bought this truck yesterday I traded up from a 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie. Wow this is a big step up.
The air suspension rides so smooth and the auto stop start transitions or smooth as well

Picking this exact truck up tomorrow, same color and features plus mine has the trailer tow group. Sticker is $85k, I got it for $68k

I always react the same way. My lord, that is a wonderful truck! Then I look at the MSRP, and wonder what kind of person can say $88K doesn't scare them a little. Great review, Will.

Thanks for the great review. Last month I bought the same truck except with the 5.7 L. I love it, but I’m still in the honeymoon phase. With all the great features, here are a couple of my complaints (although pretty minor):

- There’s no setting to have the power mirrors close when you cut the truck off. The salesman said he gets that question often and has no answer why, especially since most Dodge and Jeep vehicles with power mirrors do have this option.
- Like you I also wish there were hard buttons for the seat and steering wheel climate options.
- I also can’t understand why you get that massive screen, but when you put the truck in reverse, the views for the backup and overhead cameras are squeezed down so that both views share the top third of the screen while the other 2/3 of the screen is taken up by only a few buttons. If it’s late in the day, I have to wear reading glasses if I want to see some of the details in those views. With a screen that big they should be able to make the camera views a little bigger.
- I wish I could fold the backseats down so that you have a flat surface like on some of the older Rams. I saw a short where a guy said if you lower the center console and reach behind the seat there’s a string you can pull to actually do that but when I tried all I felt were the wires for the heating and cooled seats.
- Every now and then I get some beeps and tones while I’m driving that I’m not sure what they mean. After they happen I check the message option on the instrument cluster and even the Uconnect app with no luck. I’m still just learning things about the truck, and these mystery sounds are concerning because when they happen, I think it might be some kind of safety warning (auto-braking, lane assist, etc).
- My truck came with the park assist features. Not something I would’ve asked for, but it was already included. With that, I can tell you that I’ve tried multiple times to use it and only once has it identified an open space. I’ve tried all things recommended by the dealer tech (moving slow, putting my blinker on before I reached open spaces and activate Parksense almost 50 feet before driving up on open spaces). It just seems to have a real hard time finding the space. I haven’t been able to get an answer on whether it looks for the painted stripes or gaps between park vehicles.

Again, all these things are pretty minor. I’m still very happy with the truck and so far it seems like everything‘s well made.

I’ve never seen a brinks truck following a Hearst to the cemetery. Enjoy we live in a great country where we can have amazing things stop hating if you like it and you can afford it. You buy it if you can’t you buy something else we have choices.

If I had a $ for every time he said “my bighorn” or “my dads longhorn” I’d probably buy two of these 😂

The 2024 is not the final model year of the 5th Gen (DT) RAM. It is the final year with the 5.7L HEMI V8 option, however, the 2025s are still classified as 5th Gen.

You can get forward facing cameras on the Longhorn with the Longhorn Level 1 Equipment Group.

Where did you get the grill "RAM" decal and the hood "hemi" decal?

So the 2024 model still has the hemi tick? Why has that not been fixed?
