**RAM has since notified me that there was definitely something off with this pre-production truck. It has been shipped back to RAM for evaluation and I'm hoping to get a production-grade truck to re-test in the future.**
I talk about my week with the 2025 RAM 1500 Limited with the High Output motor and the 4 issues that it presented during my time with it. What do you think about these issues, and would you still take the RAM over its competitors? Thanks to RAM for providing this vehicle for me to review!

$86, 000 and it has software glitches it should be absolutely perfect and have a 10 year bumper to bumper warranty with oil changes included

If they can't get a press car right imagine the turds they'll be building on the line.

Honestly it’s not just Ram. All these trucks makers (including Toyota) are really showing problems in their vehicles. They’re charging more than ever for their products but all I’m seeing is constant warranty and recall issues. I couldn’t sit back and be okay with paying 75k+ for a truck that you wouldn’t want after the warranty expires.

Who the hell can afford these? Even if I could buy this, it's NOT worth $86k! WILD times we live in.

Can’t imagine paying 86K for that if it worked, much less it doesn’t.

I have a best friend who has a 2018 Ram 1500. Big Horn, 5.7 hemi. Said he loves the sound, power, ride quality and all that but the electeonics are buggy. Some of my family have had Dodge and Jeep products and same electronic bugs. It is definitely a Stellantis thing.

It's not just the software. It almost feels like they cheaped out big time and used severely underspec'd SoC or it's very poorly cooled causing it to thermal throttle constantly.

Stellantis recently layed off hundreds of engineers here in the US. It was reported they will be using engineers from overseas that most likely cost them less in payroll. This is what happens when a company starts cutting corners by laying off their top engineers.

Matt, it's not just an "early build" issue. My usually Mopar loyal buddy gave up on his 2023 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel after Stellantis (not the dealer) REFUSED to fix the center stack going wonky after 3 warranty repairs. In the first week he owned it, the center stack went blank and unresponsive. It spent 9 out of 23 months of ownership parked at dealerships waiting for Stellantis to authorize repairs. Stellantis's line: You (the customer) need to reboot it if it acts up. Thing is, the Mexican made 2500 and larger Ram's seem to be fine.
If you have to have a RAM with an inline six, get a bare-bones 2500 with a Cummins. It would be cheaper than the truck Matt reviewed.

The new generation Rams have been so good that they've continued selling "Ram Classics" for several years alongside. I hate all full-size trucks, but I appreciate that the Ram Classic has remained almost reasonably sized, reasonably priced, and generally a really solid truck for people that work with their truck for a living, not people that want to drive a fortress into a skyscraper parking garage.

Honestly guys, if you think about it, this is a really bad deal

Hey Matt! I saw your video about selling the Mustang a week or so ago. Just want to tell you that you do a great job with your reviews. You have a good, no nonsense approach and I believe that you are candid in your opinions and honest with your viewers. You don't rely on schtick to get your point across, and it is appreciated. Keep your chin up and keep up the good work!
