Please take your animal! As someone who left from zone A port Charlotte, we spent an hour just trying to find a place that accepts pets. But it’s in 100% worth it! Even if you don’t have a crate wrap them up in a blanket please!❤

I'm fortunate I don't live in the path of hurricanes. I'm 76-years-old and I wouldn't be able to handle all that storm preparation, driving, and cleanup if I lived in Florida. Basically, two hurricanes back-to-back is just too much for even younger people to deal with. What's worse, there could be another hurricane right after Milton. People's lives are being terribly disrupted. Multiple hurricane strikes are nothing anyone can get used to. I don't know how most people could financially afford to recover from back-to-back hurricanes. I wish the Florida residents all the best and that they stay safe. I'm glad most people are evacuating the coastal areas.

My place is in Homosassa Springs. They have ordered people in Citrus County to evacuate if you live in a camper or mobile home. We have a mobile home but we are snowbirds and not in Florida yet. I hope our roof survives. We just put a new roof on it last year. It’s just a building, I pray for the people near the coast. They are still cleaning up from Helene.
