I met him once at the Wirral near Liverpool. Seeing him up close, not a photograph, was unreal. He was so gracious and HONEST.

The hardest part is taking the days off.. trust the process! And when you do go to the gym your motivated and you give it absolute hell.

Trying only 3 days a week. I’ve noticed my workouts are so much more satisfying.

It's important to note that Mike does not mean it is OK to train a body part every 4 days. The body needs the rest, not just each muscle. I have been keeping a detailed log of my workouts for about 14 months, and somewhere between 12 and 15 or so days between each session seems to be the sweet spot for me. I'm currently using Mike's original HD workout which has 3 different sessions. I do them every 4 or 5 days usually which means each body part is getting at least 12 days rest. When I WO more frequently I don't get stronger. Any more than about 18 days and I get weaker or stay the same. The toughest part of about this style of training is forcing myself to stay out of the gym. I have a well-equipped gym in my basement and I see it every time I go down there. Sometimes I just sit there and mentally go through my next WO just to feed the monkey on my back.

I've accepted your premise and I have seen the miracle.

I went from 4 to 5 days a week down to 2 days a week and the gains are WAY better. Im 51 and making more progress now that I ever was doing volume training. If you do this right and go to failure with some negatives you'll need three days off. There is this grind culture that has attached their manhood to working out everyday. Its counter productive. No one needs more than 3 days a week, you'll actually get bigger faster if you give yourself more rest.

Im currently in my 3rd week following Mikes workouts. I adjust it slightly but I must say I have become so much stronger and I am enjoying workouts.

And ive gained upper body size as my shirts are fimer . Only early days yet but im pretty excited about this method . Give it a go . If it doesnt work you can tweak it or try something else

Here’s what he means it’s many studies on muscle recovery.it’s takes 3 days for a muscle to recover naturally. But it takes 5-7 days for the muscle to fully heal.

No wonder why I wasn't growing, working out 4 to 5 days a week, all tired after work and stress of life 😒

I trained for 20 years since 14 years old and my biggest mistake was training too often. The mind plays a trick on you making you believe you are losing gains taking so many days off. I am still to this day my worst enemy 😂😂.

I am 5 weeks into this concept. I am in my 40’s and have been lifting since I was 15. This is, already, by far the best plan for muscle growth in my experience.

i think the man is genius i felt as new booty in the gym my recovery and gains were almost instantly onset along with weight loss now that i have been going year and half almost two and put at least 10-15 pounds of muscle between then i find it very pleasing and almost needed to work out properly and not constantly feeling drained and flat feeling muscles i’ve been training to failure and rest every two days in between which he said even up to 72 hours to a week i just can’t get my self to yet but for anyone kinda stuck a plateau and feeling how i felt i highly recommended it i came back and almost benching double of what i was and felt rejuvenated all around

My gym Is only open super early on weekends. So I lift Monday/Thursday every week. I switched deadlift for rows on back day, and put deadlift on next week’s leg day. I do close grip chin ups instead of pulldowns cuz I’m a lighter guy (168lbs). I switched squats for Zercher squats on the first leg day in order to incorporate upper back. I got rid of leg press entirely. I started doing cable crossovers cuz it’s more contraction then pec deck. Did wide grip straight bar rows instead of reverse flies for the rear delts. Gotta say. I took his outline and perfected it. I’ve been lifting constantly for 5 years and never had anything to show for it until now.
