I have no problem using the Sync 2. Yes, it is kind of laggy, but i won't browse the internet while driving.And when i want to type a destination, i stop the damn car. It does the job just fine.

So the VW takes longer to find and tune a DAB station, it also is equally confusing to input a postcode and uses a qwerty keyboard but the Ford scored lower? Who inputs postcodes while they're actually driving anyway

I find it a real pain in the ass to set a destination on Sync 2. On my phone, I just drop a pin on the map and set that as the destination. Why can't I do that on Sync?

Your reviewer is wrong regarding internet connectivity via 3 G dongles!I have the latest Ford Focus (2016) with this system fitted. Internet access via 3 g dongle feature, whilst in the menus structure DOES NOT work (I tried 6 different devices). I have since contacted Ford UK regarding this and they confirm it does not work at this time but "may in the future" - Im not holding my breath though!

This Mondeo is a manual. Do they make the fusion in America in a manual like this Mondeo is? I've never seen a manual Fusion, and that interests me.

Why are on screen sentences cut short, IE info from radio stations / road reports???

Ford SATNAV I would give a 1 *. Roads are not up to date. Especially in Holland roads that are there since 15 yrs are still not in the latest version.
Though the audio is really great!!!

Why was she trying to program the GPS while driving.... save a life and park it why don't you. You will find qwerty to be faster if you aren't in the process of killing pedestrians.

Actualy you dont get the mediahubb anymore, since cars manufactured in October and onwards you only get one usb port and one SD card (and if you have navigation this one is already ocupied) and no aux in, on the plus side it is possible to use a usb hub and you can use a 64gb stick without issues (the limitation is that the system cant index more than 30.000 items, no storage limit (read about people using 1tb drives without issue)) another bummer is that the navigation cant be updated, an new sd card must be bought and they are released once a year, a petty as the navigation system is very good exept for this for example to find an adress actualy works well with voice control as you spell the names. apart from these things i mentioned i think the sync2 is very good actually and paired with the high end sony system with 12 speakers i get a great sound, i prefer it over the system in passat even considered we have mirrorlink in the passat one . Also once

Sync3 will not be relased here untill summer at the earliest, even the new ford edge doesent comme with sync3

The high ratings really surprise me. Because of the very bad performance of this system, I will never choose for Ford again. It is booting while driving; sometimes it stops recognizing the SD card. The garage already replaced the complete unit, but still the same problems. It is difficult to operate. The cards were already outdated when I received my car in 2016. There is an option to install apps, but they do not exist at all.
