President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and NASA officials on Monday unveiled the first color image from James Webb Space Telescope. NASA plans to release additional "first light" images on Tuesday. "These images are going to remind the world that America can do big things. And remind the American people, especially our children, that there's nothing beyond our capacity... We can see possibilities no one has ever seen before," Biden said.

the part at 4:25 was the most mind blowing. In all seriousness wow so appreciative of the engineers designers and scientists that put this project together, so glad it got funded.

Such a historic moment, and such a shoddy, unprofessional, uninspired presentation that doesn’t do the occasion justice.
The image is incredible, but we don’t even get a proper, screen-filling glimpse of it.
And there is too much distracting stuff around it.
I am soooo disappointed. And I already dread the unveiling tomorrow.
Carl Sagan, where art thou? You would have made this an unforgettable moment.
An whoever decided to present this image today, at least you could have gotten Neil deGrasse Tyson.

There’s no way we are alone in this universe 😅 some form of life must be in one of those galaxies.

To the skeptical eye, it may not look like much. But this is looking back to almost the beginning of the universe. Absolutely mind-boggling. This is an incredible achievement for the human race.

As a 25 year old I don't often get that child like sense of wonder but this gave it back to me

They couldn’t dedicate the whole screen to it?

It’s unfathomable what we are actually looking at. I feel so fortunate to have laid eyes on this in my lifetime. We’re living in an extraordinary period of time. This photo gives new meaning to be thankful for each day. We are billions of years of evolutionary cosmic soup here contemplating itself in this moment.
P.S. My 14 year old cosmic-soup made son is not impressed. Ha!

We may be insignificant on the cosmic scale, but we are the part of the universe that gets to see this.

Amazing how we can see astonishing things that will never be reachable by any creature born on this planet! However, stunning to see the beauty our universe.

Its truly embarrassing that Kamala Harris and Joe Biden were allowed to present this.
The spot light should have been on the Engineers and Developers.
You know, the ones who created and designed this amazing accomplishment.
