For spells we had 0 cost innervate that gave 2 mana crystals with no overload in classic (also honorable mention is preperation with 3 mana reduction)
Also for 6 mana minion you forgot about Sylvanas Windrunner who was basically in every single deck back then

Wow I didn’t realize that Rattlegore was in Classic. Must have slipped my mind.

14 damage from hand in classic was considered so broken, I still remember all the rage around it, even though It took at least 8-9 turns to get it. Now, you have an infinite damage combo by turn 5 on almost any classes.. powercreep is a joke.

7:51 Good ol' times of classic Rattlegore. nothing wrong here.

Azure Drake was used in a large number of decks. Gadget only saw play in Miracle Rogue.

The 0 mana comparison is so dumb I'm making my first youtube comment in years. Innervate was literally a better card than the nerfed current version and yet you chose shadowstep. Great video otherwise

The best Classic minion at 9 mana was Lord Jaraxxus, no contest there. Alexstrasza was great, but the Eredar Lord of the Burning Legion was ABSURD!

Ah yes, the classic rattlegore, how could I forget 🤔🤔😂

How Innervate was not the 0 mana card? Innervate got nerferd, Shadowstep is the same thing since forever. And the 0 mana for Standard is Innervate with drawback?

For 1-mana I'd probably have suggested the 'Northshire Cleric', though I'd still say 'Wand Thief' is better. For a 6-cost minion there could be a debate about Sylvanas Windrunner, but I never had her and thus cannot say if she is really that strong. The rest felt fine, no inner voice screaming 'but why!?'

Leper Gnome is 1 mana in Classic and 2/1, this was the best 1 drop of the game for a long time. In the words of Brian "Don't call me Brian "Brian Kibler" Kibler"" Kibler: If I could add 30 Lepper Gnomes to my deck, I would add 30 Lepper Gnomes to my deck. Mana Wyrm is strong, but did not have many cards to support a competitive Aggro Mage or Tempo Mage that is where it shone.

Nice video. Sometimes I feel like they should raise the starting HP up from 30 to 35 or 40 to offset this insane power creep we are seeing. Would make more decks viable.

Okay, for the 3 mana Ice Block was good, but we had Unleash the Hounds too, I will not complain that much for this one.

Rarran these videos are hitting me in the feels again, let out an audible "oof" when you mentioned Knife Juggler. Keep up the fantastic work

Again in 5 mana you forgot Azure Drake, that card was in every deck. 4/4 and draw a card, that thing as bonkers. Your pick was good, but only saw play in Zoolock, Azure Drake was everywhere.

"You know whats better than this spell/minion that was in classic? This completely different spell/minion we have now that does something entirely different but costs the same amount of mana!"

I’d argue that Conceal was way better than Secret Passage is, giving stealth to your Gadgetzan Auctioneer so you can still do a crazy turn right after, or protecting your Van Cleef is imo better than what Secret Passage can offer. It defined Miracle Rogue for so long they had to nerf both cards (removed Conceal from standard and changed Gadgetzan’s Auctioneer’s price)

For 1 cost I would have went with Shield Slam. A 1 mana card, that can deal with basically any minion was insane tempo. A mandatory control warrior card that has always seen play.
For 2 cost - Fiery War Axe. 6 damage to the face or deal with any 2 or 3 drop? That card was busted.

It's interesting that, at the very least when only considering the stand-out cards, classic was essentially able to keep up with, and at points beat, standard when talking 4 mana and lower. It was from 5 and above it become more apparent.
