Hearthstone Classic is Dead

As a person who only plays dead formats in mtg, the biggest mistake I felt the community made was trying to get the attention of blizzard. It is way better when the devs are not involved. Since they only care about how to profit from it. i am sad to see this game mode since this is the only format I care about.

Member berries aside, I just liked Classic because of the limited card pool and lack of Discover coin flip RNG / power creep that makes playing the game feel pointless to me. Yeah zoobots were tedious to grind through but honestly I'd take that any day over the shit show of ladder on Wild or Standard. Both are painfully unfun and it never gets better.

I haven't played anything else since the release of classic mode. the non-rotating format was like a dream for me. I didn't have to invest time to study new cards, nerfs and rotations. I just turned it on and played whatever I wanted. brought a friend here to this format and shared his enthusiasm and love for classic. this is really sad. RIP classic :(

oh wow, I disenchanted my whole collection in order to craft all the classic set golden because I didn't like the new direction and didn't want to give Blizzard any money anymore regardless. Cool to see all that has no more value now.

Hearthstone Classic is still available in Tabletop Simulator, if the community is interested in playing it there.

It's too bad Hearthstone Classic doesn't exist, it was my favorite mode, but I had to stop playing it because of the bots, it was super annoying to play against them.
Instead of solving the problem of the bots, Blizzard creates a new mode, which is "Hearthstone with a Twist", so it is "Taver Brawl", but not per week, but per season.

Wow, yesterday I came back just for classic. Used 4k dust and 800g to craft and buy packs. And now hearing that it will be removed. Damn, bad luck.

Well, this is sad. Thank you for the great times we've had and memories we've made on stream, it really was fun. Hearthstone is a really important game for me and the most fun i've had with it was by far in classic. Let's hope it will return someday, same as your stream!

I liked playing Classic. Maly Rogue is about the only deck I've been able to play for a long time without getting bored and needing to switch to a different deck. Agree that the bots were a huge problem. I initially had to get into top 400 legend just to face a human. I also would have liked a slow introduction of older sets.
Hope Twist has some fun formats/seasons. The initial format is not at all appealing to me - it appeases neither of my appetites for reduced power level over Standard/Wild or playing with older cards I liked, and the card pool is too large despite banning neutrals. I was always hoping for a limited format with five or six sets with one rotating out and another coming in each month. Suppose the beauty of Twist is that you can sit out one month and try it the next without truly falling behind.

I just started playing Classic today, and got to rank d5 thinking I'd finally find a human playing the game, and still haven't. That brought me to this video. This is very sad. I regret I didnt play sooner, because it sounds like I missed out on something really fun. All said though, there's only one solution, and that is making a private server for Hearthstone Classic. Then the community can play the game they prefer and develop it how they want. Who cares if it's illegal . . . what are they gonna do? Ban your hearthstone account? No loss.

Can’t we make a petition of some sort? Perhaps spam their support with mad emails? I as many others have disenchanted and crafted so so many golden classic cards cause it is all there’s left of good stuff in HS (Besides BTG) - and although I don’t play as much as I used to it’s nice to return to classic once in a while.

Classic got me playing again after like 4-5 years of having 0 interest. I played all my old favourites. Hit legend. Nearly got crystal Ragnaros. But I couldn't keep going. Zoobots ruined it. I was ready to quit again, but decided to try standard. See if I could keep up. Ended up having loads of fun. Except against that Warlock immolate card as a control deck. Jesus, that sucks so bad. Now, Death Knight might be one of my favourite things they've ever added to the game. Hearthstone is officially back in my rotation. Still never gonna give Activision-Blizzard another penny though.
RIP Classic. Again.

this is bs! Classic was loved cuz it was balanced imo and better in almost all ways. The reason was it couldn't be monetized.
