When you quit Genshin Impact for x amount of of time and come back, you tend to get flooded with quests, events, new items, etc. But don't forget about possbily missing out on those free characters/constellations from temporary events!

I'm currently in a semi break. I just do 15min for the basics and events. Saving the quests when I have time and motivation to do them.

I took a six months break, because everything was becoming very boring. But now after taking the break I feel like the game has become much more fun then when I started playing. Sometimes it’s just good to take a break from something and then when you come back everything seems to be much cooler

I took a break because I had exams and as they were 2 weeks long it was convenient as I wanted and got the stellar reunion, plus its got me interested in the game again.

I've never taken a break. To me Genshin is that moment of the day when I can just stop thinking about work and my other responsibilities.

It was more of a forced break as I was hospitalized for a little over a month and couldn't play obviously, still don't know what I missed but came back to that cursed ayaka banner

I took a break for about 7-8 months (probably longer). I remember back in the 1.5 days where we were starving for content and then I came back in 2.8 and there was... so much to do. I was blown away by the Chasm, archon quests, new characters- there was so much to do and it took me about 3 months to catch up on everything while doing the events.

Almost 2 years without taking a break. I am starting to feel the Genshin burnout now. But i also want to get as many characters as i can.

I took about a 1 month break 1-2 weeks into playing Genshin because I felt a bit overwhelmed with all of the stuff we had to do at the very beginning, thankfully I wasn’t very engaged in everything so I didn’t miss any important stuff, now I’ve been playing for 7 months with no breaks, AR 53 and WL 7.

I took a break of over 6 months xD I'm still in Liyue 😅 got so much story to complete and I had no clue if my artifacts were any good for my characters, since I didn't worry about stats to much. I did keep up with what characters were being released in case I wanted to come back but none interested me until Nahida and Layla

It wasn’t really a break but more of me quitting for like a year or two at the beginning of the game when there wasn’t much updates or stuff to do and was upset to find I missed out on so many characters that I would have loved to have gotten but thankfully I have came back to the game and absolutely love it and don’t remember why I quit at all and most the characters I missed have had reruns since I came back and I have them now still pulling for some of them though also missed so much events and primos though and learned about them and was a little sad for some but like you said the past is the past

I took almost 12 breaks since Klee's banner, everytime I go back into Genshin I regret and cry because of all the events and fun stuff I missed. Even my friends have forgotten about me and currently, I'm on a long-term break, it's been 3months I think and I'm already depressed because I haven't even started Sumeru yet. Even tho I'm AR 56 my characters' dmg still sucks because I never got the time to actually grind for them. All I can do to get freemogems is the web events but lately, the events became more complicated, it's requiring me to log in to the game to do the event. I regret missing Cyno's banner, I wanted him so bad ;( at least I can hope for Scaramouche's banner. Also, Scramouche's banner timeline is just the time my important exams are coming. So, I might even miss him ;'(

Yes, I took a *few hours* of break but still manage to have infinite content because I'm lazy to do everything.

As AR60 veteran who's been playing for two years, I have never took a break from genshin since it doesn't even affects me at all.

Normal Routine: go in, comms, resins, out.

Monday Routine: go in, comms, weekly bosses, out.

Tuesday Routine: go in, comms, second round weekly bosses, resins, out.

Do all quests (major or minor), events after the routine. Those who said Genshin Impact is a grindy game, its true but its the players themselves who dont know how to manage their time. Or simply because they dont have any other games.

Genshin Impact is a perfect game with its resin system and else because after I have finish the routine, I can play other games. Unless there's a event or new place to explore, I dont see the need to stay in Genshin after the routine.

I could play Ghost Recon Wildlands, Valorants, Stardew Valley, War Thunder and many other games because Genshin Impact dont tie your hands. You want more primogem? Spend sometime to explore or find primogem world quests. If you dont have any quests or explored most of the map, just wait and do daily. Genshin dont force you to spend time on itself, Hoyoverse even adviced all of us to stop playing if we had blured vision or feels tired while playing to take some time to rest.
