I always thought this was an exaggeration and a meme, until one day my grandma was helping me cook bacon and eggs, and when I was setting the temperature for the eggs, she came up to me and said
“Did you make sure it was hot enough?”
I said, “Should be. It’s been 2 minutes since I started heating.”
She then, without ANY hesitation, put her finger onto to the burning hot pan, touched it, and not even FLINCHING, just pulled back her finger slowly, and said
“Alright good, it’s ready. Put the eggs on there… why are you looking at me like that?”
