Painted one winter's morning around 5AM on the artist's Southport verandah, in one sitting, June 2011. "The air was fresh and cold, there was a soft glow as the sun peeked its head above the winter clouds and the Surfers Paradise skyline in the distance. It was a beautiful morning, crisp, fresh, crystal clear, and cold, a great day to behold, a beautiful day to be alive. So I decided I had to record it, as quickly as possible, with no embellishments or revisits, in one sitting'".
