Fix 404 error on your Github Pages website

Well, you would not believe it, but I was having this problem because, although my index html file was in the root, I spelled index with a capital 'I', and that's why it wouldn't recognize the file.
So I copied it elsewhere, deleted it from my local computer, renamed it with the 'lower-case' letter 'i', and after committing the removal, I then placed the new file back, and then once committing and pushing, when I refreshed the page, my page came up. This thing was annoying me for a couple of hours. So maybe if someone sees this, it might help, if they made the same mistake as me.
