Let me show you this amazing new device called a phone without a fold. It's basically a outside screen only. What is really cool is the fact that without the inside screen manufacturers are able to make the phones for a lot cheaper. Generally half if not a third the price of the folding phones.

As mobile dev. They can push as much as they like, but there's no way we optimize our apps for this thing before we can easily put our hands on it. It's way too pricy right now.
Also, keep on mind there's a zoo of android devices out there, we usually want the app to be as universal as possible, instead of being optimized for a specific device covered by <1% of the market.

100%. I use the outside screen of my pixel fold all the time. But when I use the inside screen it's always a blessing and nice to have this option.

Its important to note that just because we use the outside screen more than the inside screen, it doesn't mean we shouldn't push for better optimization for a more streamlined experience BETWEEN displays when you want to open up to a bigger experience. I don't wanna have a folding phone just to be limited to MOST apps on ONYL the front display, I would rather the inner display be something I can ENJOY opening up into.

It's based on what you use your phone for. For example, when i used to bid on car auctions, i would have one screen on the auction, another on a spreadsheet that i had compiled earlier. This way i wasn't switching tabs every 10 seconds and missing bids
