David Schwimmer absolutely nailed the role of Sobel. A class act

Everyone's first reaction to Sobel is, "Oh look. It's Ross."
It doesn't take long for people to stop seeing Ross and start seeing Sobel.
That is great acting by David Schwimmer.

I love how they included interviews of the Real Easy Company members in every episode.

Met him at a Walker Stalker Con in Dallas. I said "These people are all here for TWD, but you'll always be Bull to me." He got a big smile from ear to ear and we talked about the show for a good few minutes. Awesome dude

Schwimmer surprised me. He did an amazing job. I would never guessed he could have pulled it off until I saw it.

My paternal grandfather, Frank Soboleski, was a member of Easy Company and was alive and well when Band of Brothers was made. I was grateful to attend the MN premiere in August 2001 with my grandfather and family. Frank declined to correspond w/Ambrose in the 70s because he wanted that experience behind him, and his time was occupied with raising a family of four on blue collar wages. He started sharing more in the 1980s and '90s, I remember being regaled by my grandfather's WWII parachute stories as a little girl. By 2001, he was happy to share his story and join the living members of Easy Company. Frank lived until May 2017.

David schwimmer isn't just a sitcom actor. He made you believe that character, and he made you hate that character. That's a good actor.

They also did something similar in Saving Private Ryan as well. Matt Damon was the only actor in the movie who didn’t do army boot camp training the directors wanted it that way so the rest of the cast would resent him in real life

David did a fantastic job, a real selfless role

The way the sunsetted his character was bittersweet. You wanted to celebrate and say “HAH”, but all you could do is just feel bad for him. This series was one of the best.

Don’t forget, this was when Schwimmer was doing Friends. Everybody was used to seeing him as sweet, likable, bumbling Ross. Now suddenly, he’s hard-ass, in-your-face Sobel!

All the guys that took part in this amazing series should be so proud of themselves for the effort the attention to detail and down right respect they had for the heroes they were portraying, full respect over here from an English man 🙏

David was superb as Sobel.
A difficult role done exceptionally well.

That’s some awesome setup by the directors to make it as real to life as possible. What an amazing performance Schwimmer gave.

"High ho silver" in English country after cutting the fence was his best scene 😂

"Why did it take you so long to run Curahee?!"

"I'm sorry, sir. I was on a break."

I was fascinated by Cudlitz character in BoB, so I reached out to him and I couldn't believe it but he responded. Probably not something he'd want advertised but I truly appreciate him taking the time and it's something I'll never forget.
