Are Jews And Christians Enemies?

The New Testament does teach that Christ-rejecting Jews are the enemies of Christians, but only according to the gospel. God is NOT done with the Jewish people. He has future plans for them. It is my prayer that Jewish people understand that the New Testament is NOT against them, but rather foretells what will happen to the nation of Israel in the end times.

A group of pro Israel Christians I knew, went to our local synagogue and were shocked by the rude treatment they received! I had tried to tell them that they hate Jesus

Unlike everyone else who rejects Jesus Christ, Jews get a free pass for some reason. They had their chance to accept their own Messiah but they chose their oral traditions and had him killed. Why God would look kindly upon the people who turned on him and had him killed is beyond me. "Jesus was sent to die", yeah and they still don't believe he was the Messiah. Therefore they're not saved.

As long as a Christian believes the Messiah was a man and has already come and died for all sin, you are an enemy of the religious Jew.

I need a better way of studying and organizing, mine looks crazy wild and it’s starting to look out of hand . Thanks for your hard work and wisdom God bless you and your family.

God isn't a human cattle breeder. His children are spiritual, and flesh and blood do not inherit the kingdom. The spiritual kingdom Israel.

Case in point. I'm just getting home from church and in the word again. Tomorrow evening, bible study, Wednesdays morning at 6a iron sharpens iron mens group. We get tribulation ready! We work on biblical knowledge and strengthen our temples. The jews who denounce Jesus are the ENEMIES. But we should pray for our enemies.

In Islam, Jews and Christians are not considered to be “enemies” in a general or absolute sense. Rather than labeling these groups as enemies, the Quran and Sunnah emphasize respect and justice toward all, regardless of their faith. Below, I discuss this issue based on Islamic teachings and some scholarly sources.

1. The Quran on Jews and Christians

The Quran recognizes Jews and Christians as “People of the Book” (Ahl al-Kitab), meaning communities that have received prior revelations from God. In many verses, the Quran encourages respect and peaceful coexistence with them:

Sura 29:46 says: “And do not quarrel with the People of the Book except in the best way, except with those of them who do wrong.” This verse suggests that Muslims should treat Jews and Christians with courtesy and respect, unless there is direct hostility and injustice.

Surah 2:62 mentions: “Those who have believed, and those who profess Judaism, and the Christians, and the Sabeans, and those who believe in God and the Last Day and do righteous deeds, will have their reward with their Lord; they shall have nothing to fear, nor shall they grieve.” This verse highlights that Jews and Christians, when sincere in their faith and righteous deeds, can receive God's mercy.

Muslim scholar Muhammad Asad, in his exegesis "The Message of the Quran, " interprets these passages by stressing that the Quran values similarities with other monotheistic religions and recognizes the possibility of salvation for its followers as long as they seek God sincerely.

2. Coexistence and Alliances in the Time of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

Historically, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ promoted peaceful coexistence with Jews and Christians in Medina. For example, in the Medina Constitution, one of the first treaties of peace and coexistence in Islam, principles of cooperation and mutual respect between Muslims, Jews, and other groups were established. The document guaranteed religious freedom and security for all communities under Muslim rule.

3. Dawn of Tolerance and Interfaith Dialogue

Several scholars, both Muslim and non-Muslim, have stressed that Islam It fosters a spirit of interfaith dialogue and tolerance:

Scholar Karen Armstrong, in her book Islam: A Short History, describes how the Prophet and his followers did not seek conflict with other religions, but preferred to establish peaceful alliances and agreements.

Theologian John Esposito, in What Everyone Needs to Know About Islam, argues that Islam does not regard followers of other religions as enemies, but as people with whom to share and dialogue about common values and principles.

4. The concept of 'injustice' rather than 'enmity'

The Quran also recognizes that some individuals, whether Jews, Christians, or even Muslims, may act unjustly, but this does not make the entire group "enemies." In Surah 5:8, it is said: “O you who believe! Be firm in your duties towards God, and do not let hatred toward others lead you to act unjustly.” This verse teaches that any negative feelings toward a group or person should not lead to injustice.

5. How it is interpreted in Islamic jurisprudence

Islamic jurisprudence, based on the Quran and Sunnah, also promotes justice and good manners towards Jews and Christians, as long as there are no hostile acts. Classical scholars, such as Ibn Taymiyya, stressed that Islam allows friendship and cooperation with non-Muslims as long as there is mutual respect.

Conclusion

In summary, Islam does not teach that Jews and Christians are enemies of Muslims. The relationship between Muslims and the "People of the Book" is designed to be based on respect, justice, and dialogue. Only those individuals who actively persecute or harm the Muslim community are mentioned to be dealt with firmly. This vision of justice and coexistence is reflected in Islamic sources as well as modern academic writings, demonstrating that Islam advocates peace and mutual respect.
That said, I agree with you in everything you have stated, I learn a lot from your videos, and it is true that there are not many real Jews left, since the children of Israel who recognized the prophet Jesus peace be upon him, converted to Christianity and with the arrival of the prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wassalam the same reverted to Islam, so by process of elimination we can conclude that the majority of those who call themselves Jews are only the synagogue of Satan.
