Standings are absolutely nuts right now. Only the Rockies and Marlins aren't in contention for a play-off spot. Even then, the last team in the conga line is just 2 games back.
Every game is valuable, no cheapies.

Paul’s command is actually something out of a videogame. I’ve never seen someone paint the zone like Skenes. He is SCARY!

skenes throws 100 mph every pitch and then throws a 94 mph changeup that you literally cannot hit. goodluck

Find a trifecta of strikeouts in one inning more disguisting than Skenes' here in the 3rd, you cant. Friedl rung up with a dotted 100mph heater low outside. Candelario rung up with a dotted 100mph heater low inside. Steer down swinging on a 95mph splitter with 29 inches of vertical break. It's just amazing

I tell you what a competitor Paul Skenes is guy didn’t have his best stuff yet he still had command of the game I say this he’s not impressive to me because I came to expect this I felt last year he could pitch at the big league level with his mound presence and stuff I felt last year it was unfair to college hitters to have this guy pitching at that level he’s a cut above the rest and they would say I just hope to see him on the field always he has all the tools to be an all time great

Does ANYONE but me remember '"2-out lightning" during the '70's championship runs? In fact, I remember boiling it down to "2-strike lightning" back then...or am I dreaming? Something I'd also like to say, even though I don't want to, is I haven't been happy with our 3rd base coach the entire season, and that was amplified by the fact that Cruz had to 'stop himself' after rounding 3rd. Now had Cruz not done that, he'd have been out, so what was the 3rd base coach doing...or thinking?
