Russia's economy is facing a precarious future despite showing signs of growth. The ongoing Ukraine war is costing Russia up to $1 billion per day, leading to an economic strain that goes beyond the battlefield. Sanctions, massive military spending, and an over-reliance on energy exports are pushing Russia toward potential bankruptcy. In this video, we break down the financial impact of the war, how sanctions are stifling economic diversification, and why Putin’s short-term fixes may lead to long-term economic collapse.

Putin should author a new book: he should name it "How To F... Up A Country In Record Time".

I'm not economist but I cannot see how inflationary spending, high interest rates, de-diversification, sanctions, over-reliance on dodgy trading partners, unfortunate demographics, falling foreign investment, and an increasingly bad reputation can do anything but ruin an economy.

About a year ago, information appeared that Russia would face a repeat of the 1990s when the conflict end. Since then, the situation has only worsened - the arms industry is eating up the rest of Russia's economy, and when peace comes... even if Russia wins, there will be a massive economic crisis.

4:26 GDP doesn't "generate money" to pay for the war when that GDP figure *includes* the arms industry which has increased dramatically as a fraction of GDP...

This doesn't even take into consideration any reparations Russia will be forced to pay for their atrocities.

Even if Putin somehow managed to win this war, the severe economic damage it will and already has incurred makes me think Ukraine would regain its independence in very short order.

Imagine running the world's largest country and still crying poor that you don't have enough living space. Putin is pathetic.
