Watching this vlog was so comforting because tomorrow is also my first day as a Doctor and i could relate to you in every way possible and suddenly it made me feel less anxious and alone. Couldn’t have come in a better time ❤ Good luck to you on your new endeavour!

This felt so realistic, it took me back to my early days as a doctor. Don’t be discouraged, Zeliha. Starting at a smaller hospital can actually be an advantage. The slower pace allows you to learn and absorb everything properly, rather than rushing through and feeling overwhelmed. It’s just two years, and you have your whole career ahead of you. Enjoy this time, you’ll look back and be grateful for it.
Use this opportunity to work hard and prepare for training in a city, as that’s your goal. Being in a smaller hospital might even give you more time to prepare compared to those in busier city hospitals. I know it’s hard to be away from family, but think of those who move to entirely different countries and live alone. Your family is still closer than theirs.
You’re a hardworking and kind soul, and I’m confident you’ll find happiness and success. Keep going, you’ll eventually get to where you’ve always dreamed of being….❤❤❤

its so refreshing to see a vlog where theyre not all preppy and have their life 100% perfect. its nice to see genuine emotion and feelings shown, like anxiety. I suffer from continuous anxiety during the school season and its up and down, but seeing a vlog where they can relate to it is really nice

I know the feeling of starting your first job after university. It’s like entering a whole new phase of life. There’s this unexplainable heaviness and a strange feeling in your heart. Everything feels new, and when things don’t turn out as expected, it can feel disappointing. But I’m confident you’ll get used to it. Everything will start to feel familiar, and you’ll get through this. Sending love ❤

I can tell you're overwhelmed from everything that's been happening and that's perfectly normal. You're doing good Zeliha! Rooting for you.

The hardest blow is when you are a diligent student but the education system fails you. I have really thought about what you said in your graduation video. how unfair it is that something so important is chosen through lottery system. But luck favours the bold. Hope you take this on boldly

I cried a little bit while watching this cause I felt like I was there, a new place that you didn't want after all that hard working, I won't be able to understand what you feel completely but I know that everything will be okay cause god is here and you're such a nice person so you deserve the best of everything

Dr.Zeliha, many brilliant doctors I know did not start their practice in big cities. They started out as 24 hour duty doctors in small villages in the middle of nowhere using very little resources to diagnose and treat a patient. It is hard now but this experience will compound to your overall journey as a doctor who gives hope to patients. Sending lots of love, hope and support from India.

I admire not only your work ethic, your commitment to being a medical professional, but also your commitment and skills wanting to be a good storyteller through videos. I cannot imagine how much time and effort it takes to do both. Thank you for sharing this slice of life with us, and know that many of us support your endeavors and wish you well. Life can be difficult at moments, but the one great thing is that change is certain and inevitable. I wish you the best in all things and thank you for sharing your story with all of us.

Zeliha I actually think you're in a better spot then you realize. If you would have been in a big city, you would have been bombarded with workload that you are not used to. Over here you get to learn properly at a slower less exhausting pace which I think will be a great asset for you In Shaa Allah. Also, I know your accommodation might now be on par with what you are used to but it's pretty nice compared to what you get in my country at a fancy hospital. Just have a very positive mindset and don't let others negative remarks and negative mentality get to you. You are a doctor, and you will help heal people in this village that you had never imagined meeting before. They will be lucky to have a hard working and diligent doctor like you there. I wish you all the best in this world and the world hereafter, you have started a new chapter in your life and I am so proud of you.

I live in a rural town where no one wants to be stationed as a doctor (which is wild by the way because it is a Caribbean island). As someone living in a rural town, we are grateful when good doctors do want to be here. So even though it is hard and far from family, be glad you can provide needed care to rural communities who need and desire quality care. You are doing a good thing and it means a lot to the patients in your care!

Years ago, I shared a flat in Edinburgh with friends who were all junior doctors. One of them once fell asleep momentarily while cycling home after an exhausting 72-hour shift at the old Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. After finishing his shift, he cooked a meal, ate it in the kitchen, and immediately passed out on the floor from sheer exhaustion. We ended up tucking him in where he lay, with a pillow under his head and a duvet over him—it felt like the best thing we could do.

Despite those grueling days in the early 2000s, they all went on to have highly successful careers as doctors in the NHS. Watching them navigate that intense period gave me immense respect for them, their profession, and the NHS.

While I hope working conditions will improve under the Labour government, I know it’s never an easy road. But if you view medicine as a vocation worth pursuing, I’m confident you’ll have a fulfilling career—and don’t forget to keep traveling!
