When you click set up internet conection scroll all the way down, there you will find manually. Set the dns and it should be fixed.

I was dealing with this. I did everything, including inputting DNS and other settings. I even rebuilt database to fry and fix but didn’t work.

What worked for me was pressing the WPS button on router. If you go into your network settings and press option where you connect with WPS, it might work

For those copying this video exactly and having no luck, just keep trying to connect over and over and it should eventually connect after 2-5 times. It’s a bit temperamental for some reason and will eventually work if you persist. Annoying problem in the first place though 😢

When i click on the custom and select my wifi instead of bringing up the custom wifi settings it automatically says cant connect to wifi with the error code (NW-31297-2) what do i do?

FOR ANYONE STRUGGLING, U HAVE TO GO TO SAFE MODE AND RESET DEFAULT SETTINGS AND AFTER THAT PUT YOUR WIFI NETWORK AND SIGN IN THATS ALL U HAVE TO DO

Before you try this out go ahead and completely turn off your ps4 and take off its cable then after it take your wifi cable off for like 30 seconds then plug everything back in and wait for your wifi to work again in your phone then turn on your ps4 and see if it works

i can't even get to the point where i can type in a primary dns number. it just keeps saying WPA and giving me an error code...

My wifi password pops up instead of the IP, when I put my password in it shows the NW-31297-2 pop up so no matter what I can’t get past it

Nope. Didn't work.
This is specific problem for me only on the primary account (mine), as on my wife's account connection works just fine.
