DOES IT WORK? Antiquing With Rub 'n Buff | Product Review | Picture frame transformation

Does Rub 'n Buff wax work as advertised? Can it completely transform or does it just get the job done part way?

I made this wall art and picked up a can of spray paint that I thought would be the right colour. Wrong! It clashed with the room, the other wall art and the rest of the décor. I had to find a solution - Rub 'n Buff. I used Antique Gold.

It's surprisingly easy to apply and that tiny tube goes a long way! To age the piece some more I applied antiquing glaze into the cracks and grooves. You have to check out the final project!

The product is simple to apply and can be used on any painted surface and this makes it a great tool for your crafting and DIY tool box. It would be great to transform picture frames, candles sticks and other pieces that no longer match your décor or are starting to look outdated. With a brush or your finger you can take drab to fab on a budget. It's a great way to upcycle thrift finds that have a great shape but are the wrong colour.

Great tutorial on how to edit frame color with wax & stain. I have a large art piece with a very gold traditional frame. I have been "thinking" about toning down frame color for about 5 years. I cant wait to buy the supplies & get started.
