My Antique Pencil Sharpener Collection PART 2

Here are a few antique pencil sharpeners in my collection with minor restoration. This video shows the history and evolution of the pencil sharpener. 1896 Planetary, 1897 Jupiter, 1907 Angell, 1910 Peerless Dual Blade Whittler and the 1921 Automatic No.3 Pencil Sharpener.

Got to see and experience when I was in Grade 3 the 1921 style pencil sharpener. Man have the times flown by so quickly.

These pencil sharpeners make me question modern designs. It's so satisfying to watch

Love how you slowed down and actually showed us how the blades were cutting. And that last sharpener design lasted for a long time. I remember those being the type we had in classrooms in the 90's.

I'm 31 and to this day the one thing I miss about going to school is the school supplies and using pencils. I know it sounds dumb, but I love using wooden pencils to this day. There is something just so satisfying about them.

Now this is what I call a sharpener! Not just some store-bought one, but a real deal. The kind you can pull out of your backpack, show off, and know for sure — yours is one of a kind, while everyone else just has those store ones that break after a use or two.

What's interesting is that the 1921's design still lives up to this day, with a minor change of the materials

My grandfather had an old manual pencil sharpener like that. As a child, I always enjoyed turning the hand crank and listening to the sound.
