Hi, I'm a big fan of Mint myself. Have found though that MX Linux runs faster on slow machines. If you get the XFCE version and give it another go with that you might be happily surprised :D

I couldn't get Linux Mint to work on my 2GB Eee PC1001PXD; there seemed to be graphics issues. In the end I reverted to a fresh install of Win7 Starter.

I did it take a long time before booting after chooning installing ? Mine didnt even go to the main page yet after more than 1 hour

i had one of these back in the day. at one point i had 32-bit windows 10 running on it but Xubuntu is probably ideal.

You should add more ram, linux mint will feel better with 4gb ram
