To me, this question seems arrogant.  I can hear an immediate rejoinder from an interviewer, "Well, we can talk about that later; we're here now to ask YOU the questions."

It mostly depends on the interviewee and their personality which most of the time is positive

It depends on the size of the company. I interview people for bank manager roles based off of the people the recruiter sends me. I've literally gone into interviews on busy days without having actually looked at the resume until I'm in the meeting. This could be really good advice or really bad advice haha.
