the animal parts actually is for an interesting reason: during the middle age, the land owners would actually take all the common parts of the animals for themselves, so the land workers often had to take advantage of what's left to it, be it tounges, ears, etc. here in portugal we eat fried intestine (which is very thoroughly cleaned of course) and it's absolutely delicious.

I like how you can carbon date this short purely from the prices mentioned in the last bit 😂 the average here in Italy got up to €1.9 - €2 now

In some parts of Italy, dinner is even later! I've noticed that it often depends on what area you live in. In northern Italy people tend to eat early (around 19/19: 30), in central Italy around 20/20:30 but in the south even later! My bf is Sicilian and usually they hasn't had dinner before 21:00/22:00 😂

I’m Persian but this video made me realize how similar our culture is to Italian culture. Everything from the bidet to the late dinner and beef tongue was spot on

the jump cut from the bidet bit to the wet hair bit makes it seem like she washed her hair in the bidet😂😂

I'm Italian and I was shocked when I saw that Americans eat that early in the evening! I usually eat at 20:30 when I'm at home and at 21:00 what I'm out for dinner. Also, for the wet hair, I think that part of the reason Italians find it strange to go out with wet hair is because Italians generally have thicker hair so they take longer and they always stay a bit wet (?). I mean, I have a lot of hair and they are really thick, the only time I let them air-dry was on a vacation at the beach in the middle of August and I got sick so I never really let them dry in the sun without blow-drying them a but after to be sure they aren't wet

Beef tongue is also common in some of the states, as well as other countries. My mom had a southern grandmother and she remembers eating beef tongue when she was young.

And 8 it's early lol here in Argentina (and in Spain from what I've seen) we have a mix of cultural heritage and dinner it's usually at 8 (if you're a grandma, or eat early) or usually at 9. It can also happen late at parties, or extend past 12 in celebrations.

We do have merienda, or tea time, at 5 in-between that, so

Research has proven wet hair won’t make you sick. I literally leave for work everyday with wet hair and it has never made me sick.

I am Polish. When I was younger (at school times) we ate dinner around 4pm. My mum worked 7am-3pm, so usually was going shopping and then made dinner.
The thing is we ate breakfast in morning (second one at school - sandwiches etc), then dinner (biggest meal) at 4, then some supper at 7-8 (something light, sandwiches etc).
Now when many people work with longer commute I think that 6-7pm is more normal. Even though I have dinner at work around 2:30/3 pm and then supper around 7/8.
Fun fact: polish word for supper is "kolacja" and Italian breakfast is "colazione" - probably from the same word building, but for us it is last meal of the day - it is always strange for me when cafes in Italy have "coffee, [some time of food they offer, colazione" signs - I need a moment to remember it is about breakfast menu ;)
