Have a friend with 5 in his house. He's got drool cloths all over to wipe up the drool before it messes up the hardwood or the furniture (or when a human gets slobbered). He did a great job socializing them though because as long as you're with him, those dogs are totally chill. I'd never attempt to enter his home without him though.

Hey man, when it comes to getting your dog to focus on you and ignoring other stimuli (meaning physical making eye contact waiting for guidance and orders) is that something that's innate or is that trainable? And if it's trainable how would you go about doing it?
Also love what you do, and I wish I could work with dogs 😭 much love ❤

Got lucky with our Cane Corso. He was big, bigger than any other I've seen since. Well tempered but stubborn. BUT he would listen and for example when I told him No, leave it (hedgehog, kitten, food whatever) alone he would. Became best friends with the cats and sleeping buddies. They'd listen to him and if he barked a certain way would come back to the house. But oy vey could he drool. And it was espcially impressive when he shook his head and it went every where. Which is why he slept on the enclosed porch...Miss that lad...

My friend’s cane corso loves me. I love visiting! I always get a drool cloth so when he put his head in my lap I don’t end up with a huge wet spot looking like I peed myself. 😂😂😂 but I love that big protective goofball.

We've had 2 cane Corso for 4 years now. I can agree on everything you've said. The hair is everywhere, they are extremely friendly and love the whole family but not very friendly towards other people, it takes some time to get their trust.

Well that was then. Now it's 10 month since my father left us and the boy who were kinda problematic towards other people and dogs is now, after being heartbroken and almost died from sadness, ok with everyone who comes to our house(who we invite in and tel the dog that he is friend(yes he somehow understands that it means "don't eat this one")) and bond to them after few days. And he is extremely happy to see this person every time he stops at us.

Maybe it's because he lost his master and looking for other in other people... Idk but he's friend with everyone who we approve now + he's much calmer and good-tempered

I'm getting a Cane Corso in the next year or two as a service dog prospect. I've been researching the breed for years and making sure that I am ready to take on the breed and their needs. I'm currently in talks with an ethical breeder that upholds the standards of the ICCF and the AKC and they have wonderful babies. I'm honestly super excited to get my first Corso.

I think my rescue pup has CaneCorso blood. She’s an 8 outta 10 mutt. Good guard dog friendly with kids and cat’s and livestock Easily trained. Had to E collar one time with the sound only. Perfect response. Rescue dog and pups are almost always A+.

I've also seen alot of novices on youtube buying Malinois' as well and it's a scary trend. People just think profit when a dog becomes popular. And this leads to poor breeding

Exactly !! The same for every other dominant breed they get reduced to nothing very sad

I adore the breed. Great for experienced owners who are dominate but loving.

i have a corso (as well as 2 other dogs, a lab/pitbull mix and a mini goldendoodle) and a few things to note

1) he gets SUPER jealous when the other 2 get attention but the most he does is just whine, they all get along fine otherwise!

2) he has a big personality and is the most expressive dog i’ve had

3) my corso is very lazy and usually sleeps all day, loves to cuddle and be around the family all the time

4) he is good around younger kids with supervision!

5) corsos are not for first time dog owners, he is my 4th family dog and my dad grew up with dogs all his life which helped, and they require lots of training and socialization!

in conclusion i love my big guy!! but he is not for everyone

My female Corso barks whenever she hears or sees someone coming through the door but she’s never been aggressive. Even to people she’s never met. The barking turns into tail wagging and whining for attention lol. She’s a big lover. A male is probably different.
