Finally a clear start...Tails front and back of drawer and pins on side. Even your marking is easier to understand and you aren't wasting time on fluff...Thanks

Watched both videos. Amazing how you condensed it down but didn't lose anything. That is a sign of a good film maker. : )

Wow, I watched video of a bunch of old guys have a contests cutting dovetails by hand. They had a simple box done in under five minutes and they were perfect. We require thousands in special tools and gauges to build a Sorry I was not knocking your talent. Great job.

As i comment in other video. Is nice to see videos with content like rhis. Everyone should know how to do these. Fact: First cases of dovetail joinery was found in tombs in ancient Egypt. Keep up the good work man. Cheers

One tip I picked up along the way is when you are cutting the tails only cut one side at a time, like you showed. However when cutting that one side of the tails, angle the board so your saw is cutting straight up and down. In other words the board is tilted by eight degrees (or whatever your dovetail
Angle is). Your body mechanics make it so you cut more accurately when cutting straight up and down rarer than cutting with a tilted saw.
Just a tip for everyone.

I watched the extended version which was great but wondered how I was going to remember all of it. You short-cut version is awesome and will be celebrated by all who, like me, either drank too much in their youth or huffed too much paint!! You're awesome, David. Thanks again!!

How you mark is how Tom Fidgen showed me at his school.Unplugged Workshop in Toronto. He uses the coping saw too but not the jig. He even goes free hand sometimes and says its all about the transfer lines. great video btw
