Gabriel took 4 years for getting a German B2, I am thinking now I am feeling very super good, I got the German TELC B2 certificate in just 18 months, beginning from absolutely zero, working, and having a 2 years old daughter. I think everything depends on your motivation and effort; everyone can reach it. Thanks for sharing!

Interesting, I saw half of the interview so far. I'll watch the remainder later.

If I were to answer the question you asked to Gabriel "If you were to start all over again, what would you do differently?", I would say : don't learn a new language before reaching a solid B2-C1 level on your last target language before going to the next one and don't learn more than 3 languages (maybe 5 if they are European languages assuming your native tongue is a European language).

I'm a French native, I speak English, Spanish and Japanese ( weak A2 now, it used to be a solid B1). Learning Japanese is like learning 3 languages :). I'm fighting to get my B1 level back and go beyond that.

More than that (3 or 5 if they are European languages), maintaining your languages becomes a chore. Also, if they are not part of your everyday life, maintaing becomes even more a chore. For example, to me, maintaining my 4 languages is easy : English is everywhere, as for Japanese, I love watching anime and as for Spanish, I love dating latinas.

I wanted to learn Greenlandic (kalaallisut), but I gave up because it is so difficult to find good content about this language. But, when I achieve fluency in English, I try to learn this language again.

Me too! I was more attracted to Japan's culture, but I chose Mandarin instead, and in hindsight, I am glad. I'll learn Japanese eventually (maybe after Turkish).

Who else was waiting for this crossover?

Gabriel's English sounds very natural. I could easily think he was born in the US. Nice video.

Grande encontro, Luca. Acho muito legal quando poliglotas produzem conteúdos juntos fora das conferências.

Plot twist: that poor Polish lady never found the exit. Legend has it, if you go to Père Lachaise at midnight on the first full moon of April, her ghost will appear and start talking to you about Chopin in rapid-fire Polish.

I am Brazilian and I speak Portuguese(my native language), English, Spanish and a little bit of Galician. I intend to improve my English until C1 and learn more Russian and Galician, I think I will take courses on these languages because I'm tired of not finding the resources to study, but in English and Spanish I studied everything by myself and for free, what's your opinion, guys? Do I study by myself?
