Based on the conversations in the movie, I believed that Han and Leia did get married and I never had the impression of them being divorced. What I understood is that they had some difficulties in the marriage especially when their son became the leader of the knights of ren and being part of the jedi massacre. So they kind of went their separate ways in dealing with the "loss" of their son and of the things that had happened thereafter, especially during the last few years before the events in the force awakens but not really a legal separation or divorce...

Yes they did- in EU/Legends and they had twins and a younger son named Anakin.
Gosh I wish they would have kept the original family intact.

Hey, Stupendous Wave.
I came up with an great idea for a Star Wars topic. This subject is something that I've wondered for a long time, and I think it's a great Star Wars subject to discuss.
The subject is *"Are children conceived/born from force sensitives much stronger in the force than children conceived/born from non-force sensitives?"*.
It's something I've wondered for a long time. And the characters you can use as evidence for this debate is Luke and Leia, Kylo Ren, Rey (possibly), and Galen Marek.
What do you think of that one? Is that a great subject for you to do in future? I hope to see your thoughts on this.

I think a better question is, if Han and Leia were married, who did Leia use as her bridesmaids and maid of honour? I keep picturing a fan fiction story written, where R2-D2 and C3P0 are used respectively in those roles. I can just picture the conversation:

R2D2 complains that he has to wear a bow and a pink dress.
C3P0 says, "Don't complain, R2, I have to wear this stupid taffeta! Let's just get this wedding over with.

Perhaps, though, if there were some female Ewoks on Endor, Leia could have used them.

Han likely would have used Chewbacca and Lando as ushers and Luke as his best man.
