Leia was so much like Anakin and Luke was like Padme. Leia was strong-willed, impulsive, stubborn, direct, snarky, passionate, protective, slow to forgive, and slow to change her opinion. Luke had Padme’s optimism, compassion, and forgiving nature which is why he was able to bring Anakin back. I’m not sure Leia would have had the same effect because she was so similar to him and many of the traits they share are reasons he turned in the first place.

I think it's important to remember that most people are not created evil. A darth vader baby would be kinda cool though.

She named her youngest son Anakin Solo. Who was trained as a jedi by Luke and became one of the greatest jedi prodigies in galactic history. He died a hero during the Yuzhung Vong wars.

The part that I love about this is. Luke could forgive anakin because as a jedi he understood things such as the dark side and how i can literally corrupt a person. She however was looking at it from a normal person view she didn't understand how one slip to the dark side can fuck a person up and only saw vader not anakin

Vader to his daughter: Destroys her home planet, kills her entire adoptive family and tortures her and her fiancé 💀

Remember when Padmé was dying she said to Obi Wan that there was still good in Anakin this feeling passed on to Luke’s heart and the whole reason why he never gave up on bringing his father back to the good side.

In the novels Leia came to accept she was Anakin's daughter, not Darth Vader's. So she finally forgave Anakin Skywalker.

I always wanted to see more of Leia discovering who Anakin Skywalker was. She is so much like him. It would be interesting to see how discovering Anakin would help her discover herself.

One of the many ways the sequels failed is that we never got the father/daughter reconciliation that we had with Luke and Anakin. They should have had Leia and Anakin's force ghost playfully bicker with each other.

Leia saw how Darth Vader lived not knowing after long years after the death of her mother he had developed two personalities. The two who saw through these personalities were obi wan and luke because both of them would talk to him as his original personality

I honestly wish they tied this in with the sequels and since anakin became evil bc of the jedi/palps thats why leia trained to be a jedi but never fully became one bc she was scared to become like him
