Did Princess Leia ever become a Jedi in Star Wars Legends?
Cuz we know that she quit her training in the sequel trilogy but what happened to her in the Expanded Universe?
Actually, Leia did become a Jedi! But her journey was pretty unique.
You see she started training on and off because her Senate duties kept pulling her away.
It took some time, but she eventually built her first lightsaber in The Thrawn Trilogy, and it had a green and whitish color.
But after nearly 20 years of being inconsistent with her training, she finally committed in the Dark Nest Trilogy and took things seriously!
Now Luke may have started off teaching her but it was Jedi Master Saba Sebatyne who finished her training, making Leia a full Jedi Knight by the end of the Swarm War book.
But Leia had other priorities too.
She was married to Han Solo, had three kids, and played a big role in the New Senate.
So, she left the Jedi stuff to Luke while she focused on her family while leading the charge governing galaxy!

Wouldve been amazing to see some studios, that arent Disney, make these books into their own films and shows.

Would be so cool to watch

Almost losing her life to a Yuuzhan Vong warmaster in the previous war helped contribute to that decision.

I knew she trained in the force, but I didn't know that she became a Jedi.
Good backstory info.
She did survive in deep space using the force, so she had to have some skill.

It would be weird to see her as a Jedi in movies. But I think it would work really well.

She did not built a lightsaber in the Thrawn Trilogy, Luke gave it to her

There's a comic book that had Leia quit her training.

She had the twins with her at the time at a park and they were set upon by armored attackers. Leia went full mama bear mode on them and was about to kill one of them when she saw her reflection on his armor...and superimposed over her face was that of Darth Vader. This fear overpowered her anger and after the attackers were detained and the twins saved, she informed Luke of what happened and told him she didn't want to train in the Force anymore because she didn't want to end up like Vader...their father.

Best thing I love about Legends, is that when you really think about it, the Skywalker Family outright ruled the galaxy via Leia being Chancelor for so many years. Like Mon Mothma, she voluntarily gave up the power.

I never played it myself, but Star Wars the Forced Unleashed 2?(I think) did her the most justice (to my knowledge at least) when it comes to her being a Jedi even though it was only 1 fight/the last fight at the end of the game if you chose the “darkside” story mode ending and she kinda holds her own using the force and 1 yellow lightsaber for a bit until you as dual wielding starkiller obviously kills her to finish the game

I guess the Skywalkers just like to make up their own rules on being a Jedi 🤣

Are we not gonna talk about how cold it was in the fourth cut?

See? This is something that makes more sense than... than whatever that was from the sequel trilogy. I can get behind this.
