I never got a job through a contact list but always used an employment agency.

I really think that it depends on the industry, whether or not you were previously employed FOR some one versus working for yourself. (Which out of respect I didn’t exchange information with their clientele)APPARENTLY ( now I know)there is no respect and everyone is respectfully out for themselves, because in the business world there is no such thing as RESPECT ONLY DOG EAT DOG

Great relationships are an asset!!! Not any and doesn't have to be many, but people with your same values.

Ok. So, it begs the question: how do you make a contact list? (Be great if the answer was doable in maximum 4 weeks please 😂).

If I lost my job .
I will create my own company !
You don't need to be a bilionare, you need to be confident and use your brain !
When something bad happend to you like losing your job, you should be more motivated and don't give up !
That is the mentality of succes !

Its not just about a contact list. Its also about the job market.

My father had a very strong contact list. Whatever he needed was taken care of with a few phone calls. Unfortunately, , I never developed his gift for networking. But, I was never in need of a job thanks to employment agencies.

Spot on. People I know who have an active network have found incredible jobs without even looking.

Not all of us are so excellent to get a contact list and chose one of jobs within 4 weeks which is equal to or better than previous job or current job. Many reality factors will affect if you can get an offer quickly，i.e. the talent marketing development opportunity， salary and the industry development situation etc. If we ignore all of them，of cause we can get an offer within 4 weeks，but the world and life do not allow it happening.

I don't know about contacts, but what about jobs not following up with applicants.
