Marx is expressing his previous concepts in a more formulaic way and also stating some observable Laws on Surplus-Value creation. He also examines how a Capitalist must also reproduce themselves as a Class while briefly discussing some distinctions between the Capitalist Class and the "Hybrid", and also touches upon some ideas around Capitalism's development that will be expanded on throughtout the next sections in the book.

I just discovered your channel and this is really great, it's going to help me a lot reading Capital.

I'm a bit confused with the notations at 2:31. What's the difference between V and P? Doesn't a' / a = S / V hold by definition of surplus rate? Multiply by V and it would give V ⨯ a' / a = S which leads to V = P from the second relation for S. I guess I'm mixing two different concepts.
