Thank you, for this informational video on different iPad models and their supported versions of the Apple pencil. Another way of stating this would be only the basic iPad models both the 9th generation and the new 10th generation support the Apple 1st generation pencil all other iPad models support only the Apple 2nd generation pencil. So, if you are upgrading from the basic iPad to an iPad mini, iPad Air, or iPad pro model, your Apple 1st generation pencil will not work and you will need to buy an Apple 2nd generation pencil (smile...smile).

I found a Apple Pencil 4 years ago it’s the first generation under a bench at a bus stop and i have the 2019 iPad mini I hate the fact that i have to pair it every time i have to use it by plugging it into the port they should have put a on off switch on it

Chase I have the 2021 M1 12.9 IPad Pro and I use the 1Gen Apple Pencil with it. I installed the app LightBlue and paired it to my 12.9 iPad Pro which has the usb-c connector. So yes the 1rst Gen pencil will work with the iPad Pro 12.9 2021.
