The way you explained using graphical and mathematical model is excellent. But all these explanation needs way more depth including all the physics behind the phenomenon such as Faraday's Law & Maxwell's equations then only the actual reason for lagging can be understood.

Hi, I am regular student of your class
I would like to know that a 3 phase motor is considered as an inductive load. In this class you HV taught inductor does not consume power or energy. So which part of the motor consumer energy for which the charges are paid to utility ? Sorry if i am asking silly question .

why we use cos in inductive circuit and sin in capacitive circuit

Motor is inductive load so it needs VAr to run but why it consumes real power as well? Could you explain?

Your explaining is clear.
But little bit fast.
If you can explain in slowly l think better than this explaining.

Why is that for inductive reactance we don't use p=v*i*cos theta but v*i*sin theta
And what about motors how does it consumes power?
I saw in previous videos that capacitive reactance gives reactive power and inductors consume power....please help me understand this..

Please can you explain by drawing a waveform that in a pure inductive circuit, current lags the voltage by 90 degrees. Your waveform does not show this fact. Thank you
